2019 – Founding of Berbagi Cerita Indonesia (BCI)
Berbagi Cerita Indonesia (BCI) was founded in Jakarta, Indonesia as a digital storytelling platform centered on emotional expression and peer support. Over time, it evolved into a volunteer-based mental health community, providing online peer support, psychoeducation, and collaboration with licensed professionals across Indonesia.
2020–2022 – Expansion and Community Development
During the COVID-19 pandemic, BCI expanded its initiatives to include structured peer support programs, psychological assessments in collaboration with professionals, training and capacity-building programs, and large-scale national webinars. These efforts reached thousands of individuals and strengthened BCI’s reputation as an accessible, youth-friendly mental health community.
2023 – Regional Vision and International Identity
Building on its impact in Indonesia, BCI began envisioning regional outreach beyond national borders. Recognizing the growing need for culturally responsive mental health support in Southeast Asia—particularly in the Philippines—BCI introduced MindLink as its international community identity, designed to support cross-border engagement and localization.
Early 2024 – Localization and Collaborative Development
To ensure cultural relevance and ethical alignment in the Philippine context, BCI initiated collaborations with Filipino mental health professionals, students, and community advocates. Programs were adapted to reflect local values, language use, and mental health concerns, while remaining compliant with applicable Philippine regulations.
Mid 2024 – Pilot Community Programs in the Philippines
MindLink began its pilot phase in the Philippines through selected community-based initiatives, including peer support, psychoeducation, training programs, and collaboration with licensed practitioners. Filipino volunteers and collaborators were oriented to BCI’s ethical framework, quality standards, and community-centered approach.
Late 2024 – Official Introduction of MindLink
MindLink was officially introduced as the Philippine-facing international platform of Berbagi Cerita Indonesia, marking BCI’s first step toward building a regional mental health community across Southeast Asia. MindLink focuses on education, support, advocacy, and ethical collaboration—strengthening access to mental health resources for Filipinos in a culturally grounded and responsible manner.
